(November 2007) Since 2004, Third Day Games has been developing Bible-based Christian video games for elementary age children to help parents and religious educators tap into children’s love of video games and promote Christian values. The company’s flagship product, Bible Champions, is a 3-volume nondenominational action adventure PC game series that allows children to explore classic Bible stories. Gospel Champions is a 3-volume Catholic version of the game that is based on Gospel stories from the lectionary and promotes other elements of the Catholic faith. Third Day Games products are sold as both site licenses to churches and schools as well as traditional video games to retailers. To date Third Day Games has developed over 130 Bible story games used by hundreds of churches of all denominations and carried by hundreds of retailers throughout the US. The privately held, ten-person company is located in Huntsville, AL. Third Day Game Products: Bible Champions is a nondenominational Christian video game that gives kids 14 games annually based on classic Bible stories. It uses the NRSV and Holman Christian Standard Bible (HCSB) translations. It was developed with editorial oversight from LifeWay and Cokesbury Christian publishing companies. The game was originally released on June 5, 2005 and is marketed and sold by Third Day Games and our retail distributer EMI/CMG. Gospel Champions is a Catholic video game that sequences with the Lectionary to give kids Gospel story games that correspond to the readings they hear in mass. Volume I uses the NRSV-CE (New Revised Standard Version - Catholic Edition), and volume II uses the NAB (New American Bible). It was developed and published with editorial oversight by Catholic publisher Silver Burdett Ginn Religion. It was originally released on September 1, 2006 and is marketed and sold by Third Day Games, our parish / school distributer RCL Benziger and our retail distributer EMI/CMG.
